Ex Eggs is an independent art organization which develops and promotes projects in the fields of visual art, cinema, music, architecture and design, supporting and enhancing emerging artists' research and visibility. Ex eggs was founded in New York in the spring of 2004 with the intention of creating an "exchange place": a social and relational space, an environment, where expressive research and experiments coexist.
Ex Eggs collaborates with artists, curators, galleries and institution in order to promote growth and activities in New York's local and international contemporary art scene. Structurally flexible, Ex Eggs adapts to the needs of the project at hand. Ex Eggs primarily presents works in its own gallery space but may also choose to relocate to alternative sites when the project requires it. In developing its projects, Ex Eggs establishes contacts with artists, curators and galleries; coordinates the event's preparation, organization and realization and engages in the marketing and communication efforts, spreading information and pertinent materials to receptive audiences and general public.
Ex Eggs also offers a consultancy service in analyzing necessary funding and looks for sponsoring partners.
Ex Eggs is active in the promotion and appreciation of emerging and young artists through personal and collective exhibitions, residence programs and wokshops, and by constantly interacting with and influencing current cultural, social and artistic trends.
